Web hosting, design and training
Tecwyn.net is launching a new service! In addition to our successful ‘technical support’ and ‘curriculum support’ services we now offer website hosting, training, design and updating services.
Over the last few years it has become essential for schools to maintain an attractive and up-to-date website, but it is very onerous on staff who are not skilled in website design to build and update the website – but we can do it for you, and probably more cost-effectively than using your own staff.
It is essential that schools use a ‘domain name’ that meets the BECTa specification www.schoolname.county.sch.uk and not commercial .com or .co.uk names, or even .org or .org.uk as a few schools still do. Many webhosting services cannot give you the proper domain name, but we can!
If you use our service to set up your webhosting you will also get e-mail addresses @schoolname.county.sch.uk (although you can carry on using funnyname.kxx@e2bn.net or ad.school.p@talk21.com if you really want to!)
